Low VPIP in big blind
I played 270 hands last nite and my overall vpip & pfr was 19.8/7.1, not to unusual but in the big blind I was 2.8/2.8, unbelievably low, what is up with that? I reviewed all those hands, and I played like SSHE says. Is this just variance, should I be doing something different.

Re: Low VPIP in big blind
270 = too small a sample to be meaningful.
You reviewed them, you played ABC, don't worry. |

just so so low and I always seem very light in my total stats in BB, under 14%

Re: Low VPIP in big blind
Much too small a sample to mean anything. You can easily be dealt total garbage in the big blind over that small a number of hands.

Re: Low VPIP in big blind
Don't look at your vpip for the rest of the month. You are worried too much about it.

It make be cold out tonight, and warm tomorrow, but in general the grass turns green in the spring, and the leaves die in the Fall. Don't assume it's winter because it's a cold night. |

Re: Low VPIP in big blind
Thats a small total. Easily reviewable hand by hand. Take a look at em-Chances are you were dealt a lot of garbage in that position and/or missed the flops when your passive oppenents just limped in ahead. No VP$IP when you get a playable or semi playable hand in the BB and your opponents let you miss the flop without raising .
