I don't see why you didn't shove the turn, given your reads.

Stack sizes are making it tougher and tougher to run a bluff.

Obviously, your read will be even stronger when he checks the river to you, but I would just go with it on the turn.

Whether or not you would just call there, with a hand that you wanted to felt/showdown, your line already looks super strong (QQ+ish), and he probably has "outs."

value of a turn shove:

1. gets the last bluff into the pot (no more rebluffing possible)
2. to a live player like Dave, probably looks very strong (even though i still feel that a call is *at least* as strong looking)

You don't even need to shove the turn, actually.

Raising to like 8 or 9 hundred should do the trick.

If he rebluffs you, when you only have a few hundred left, props to him

I kinda like tanking a bit, and saying something like "you don't have the deuce, do you?" before you make the raise.

Especially if you don't talk much.

It really looks like he has a hand like 77 or A4 when he leads turn like that. Or he decided to get really cute and float your 3-bet OOP and take a "cheap" stab on the turn. So I really hate the turn call, because you let him catch something or bluff river, but he can pretty much never call your turn AI here.

I dont like a turn shove because he calls with some crappy diamond draw or something because he has outs and he ends up beating your bluff at showdown by accident. I'd rather make it like $650 or $700 so that if he just calls with NFD you can still make him lay down on the river if he misses.

so why HUHU?

I think calling the turn is probably your weakest play in the hand, but I dont think I like raising the turn all that much more, unless you're confident that he'll fold.
