Anyone know why India hasn't been forced to change their laws on patents for chemical syntheses instead of formulae? That loophole lets them manufacture prescription drugs for pennies on the dollar. They are a WTO member already.

Why don't all you ballas just pay for you music legit?

I refuse to buy music anymore. In my life, I bought roughly 2000 albums...then I replaced almost every single one of them with CDs...plus another 1000 CDs on top of that.

I download songs all the time for free and I don't feel bad about it! LONG LIVE THE REVOLUTION!

I refuse to purchase any media put out by the large music cartels. My reasons are numerous, but they all point back to the RIAA and the media companies trying to restrict my ability to listen to stuff I have purchased. DRM is a useless technology that only hurts the people who pay for the media. And each day, more and more consumers who see the flaws in DRM are getting more and more frustrated with the "technology" and are looking to piracy to get around the restrictions.

The companies should allow people to listen to the music they purchase on their own time, using whatever device they choose, and allow them to change the format to whatever is most convenient for them. Unfortunately we have systems like iTunes which only allows me to listen to a song I "purchased" on 5 different computers, and if you happen to have already used up your five licenses you are screwed when your hard drive fails.

This leads people to piracy when they realize the system is flawed in its design. And the RIAA is too blind to see it. They would prefer to sue everyone who chooses to pirate instead of looking at the reasons for why they are pirating the music.

It will be a good day when the RIAA ceases to operate.

Information wants to be free, and music is just information.

Of course convincing the masses of this is quite a challenge when nearly everyone in society is extremely apathetic.

I stopped downloading music because I found that if I could get it for free and didn't have to be somewhat discerning about what I got, I just filled up folders with crap.
