Can I download the pokerstars client in Thailand?

I know I can't download partypoker in Thailand but I have not heard of any problems with pokerstars? Does anyone know if I can download stars and play a few hours in an internet cafe if its pouring down rain or something?

I'm heading out next week and I want to leave some bux in it if I can play there. Probably something like 500 so if I get my account jacked its not a big loss. Just some bux to screw around at 1/2 or something on a rainy day.

Also, does anyone know how dangerous it would be to do this? what are the chances of my account getting robbed if I do this in an internet cafe? What precautions should I take?

A lot of questions but I can answer a couple. If I were you I would burn a disc with the party and pokerstars client on them and bring it with you.

To download Party here you would need to use Tor/Privoxy (google for it) but I believe their homepage is blocked now so you would need to burn them too.

Remember all gambling is illegal here so don't attract attention to yourself from the police when you are doing so.

I'm not concerned with party, which I know is blocked, only stars

If you can't, mail support (include "URGENT" if you need it right now) and ask them to mail you the installation program. Alternatively, try the site via the IP address:

I think you should be okay now in Los Angeles. I'm not sure if you will have internet access, but since you were drinking champagne on the flight I guess it's possible.

you'll be able to download it fine. You'll even find it already installed on a lot of the computers in the internet cafes on Khao San Road (if you're unlucky enough to be there)

What are the chances of my account getting hacked if I log into it from a cafe? Any precautions I should take?
