Default BB defense - annoying turn-raise

I have something like J8o in BB. A taggy player that I don't know much about raises on the button or CO. I call.

Flop: 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

I check, TAG bets, I check-raise, TAG calls.

Turn: 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

I bet, TAG raises, ...

The pot is now 7BB. If the TAG bets the river I'm getting 4:1 on my calldown in a steal situation with top-pair on a board he could semi-bluffing/free-showdown-raising on.

I fold.
I also don't think this is worthy of a c/r on the flop.

The plan being to showdown for at most one bet on each street unless you improve?

I dislike check/calling on this flop.

There are no real draws, so a smooth call on this flop looks like a hand that's planning on getting to showdown or trap, if he's aware.

Also you're going to want to check/raise occasionally as a bluff/semibluff on this type of board, which further makes it more likely you have some type of made when you just smoothcall.

I also think he's likely to calldown with ace high type hands if you C/R since this flop is fairly hard to hit.

Maybe I'm giving him too much credit. I still think check/raising the flop with any hand we plan on carrying on with is best against a TAGish player.

I think this is too weak/tight. I'm also CRing 55/A4 here, with the intent on going to showdown a good percentage of the time.

Against a tag this is about 50/50 for me to go to showdown depending on the tag. I would showdown this hand.
Against any other type of player this is a fold.
