Default Re: Stars $215...TPTK..Should/Can I Fold This Flop?

And forget about that 2xbb from EP crap. That may be a good play for Eric Lindgren who is an amazing post-flop player and who plays 99.9999% live tourneys against totally different types of players, but that means nothing in this scenario.

He only has 25 BBs at the start of the hand. After raising 3 BB and making a continuation bet of nearly 4 BBs he can't even call the raise (it's push or fold) since he'd have committed 10.5 BBs by the flop. Suppose instead he'd only raised 2 BBs and stuck another 2 BB on the flop. Now it's totally different. He's not married to the pot. He could even call the raise and try to feel out the situation on the turn. He could re-raise the flop and STILL get away if a nightmare turn card came. I think 25 BBs is too deep a stack to go broke with TPTK on. Particularly as AK is the first hand a weak player will put him on. That's the advantage of not building the pot too quickly when you don't have a deep stack. It's not "crap".

No, minraising UTG early in the 215 is crap. Period.
