Assante Samuel seems extremely unimpressive to me. I'm obviously basing this off one game, LDO, but call me a huge homer but I feel like Rashean Mathis > Samuel and that scares me when its gonna come time to signing him again.

He let up right away. You generally aren't called unless you drag them down by the pads.

The textbook rule or the actual rule? Actual rule is:

15 yard penalty if the guy breaks his leg or something.

i think the rule is that you can't get inside the shoulder pads - looked like he had him by the jersey lower down, which is legal. i don't have DVR though.
