Also Astros have the tiebreaker over the Cards, have them at 12-1.

[/ QUOTE ]

The tiebreaker between STL & HOU will be a playoff game.

tigers to win the central $1000 at 30-1 (what a nightmare this last month has been). ryan howard to win the hr title $250 at 40-1 (looks wrapped up with batting avg as the tie breaker).

Did you bet that on Pinnacle or did some other book clone Pinny's line? The only "player to win" future I took was actually Howard to lead MLB in homers at 40/1, but I bet it at something like 0.05u to win 2u. Despite finding some gems like Mulder under 15.5 wins and Pujols over 40.5 homers, my playoff matchup futures didn't do that well on the whole because I had so many matchups fading Giambi.

at least you didn't make four separate bets on derrek lee to outperform somebody in some category. that mulder line was pretty sweet though.

my weekend sweats:

locks and near locks:
ryan howard hr crown
michael young +5.5 runs vs. chone figgins
pujols -3.5 hits vs. a-rod
vlad under 34.5 hr

likely:
orioles +8.5 wins over giants
tigers division title

not-so-likely:
dodgers division title
astros division title
reds division title
pujols -5.5 runs over a-rod

Well this is it, we've come down to the final regular season weekend! Personally, I've got a lot riding on Detroit to hold on and on the Astros to finish this miracle comeback, and a little on the dodgers. Anyone else in the same boat?

[/ QUOTE ]

Similar boat here. I've got $100 on Tigers to win AL at 11-1 and $200 on Dodgers to win NL at 18-1. I wish I had put more on these, but I hate tying up money. I really need to get out of that mentality, especially when some of these bets can have over 50% ROI.

Ugh.

I am so irritated at Detroit right now that I might end up cheering for the Yankees.

Probably not, though.

[/ QUOTE ]Today was simply awesome to be a Twins fan as they completed an unbelievable comeback and Mauer got the batting title. After the twins won they put the detroit game on the big screen. It was very cool to watch the extra innings and how detroit lost is simply beyond me. They had the bases loaded with 1 out against a terrible team. I am super glad we do not have to play the Yankees first.

The loss by detroit helps a lot with Justin getting the MVP. The twins have a great shot of having the mvp, cy young, and batting champ.

I am sorry for those who lost money on detroit.
