Default Prop Playing suggestions

I am going to be playing as a prop player in the next coming week and I was wondering if anyone out there has been a prop player and could give any good suggestions and advice. The games that the casino regularly spread is 2-3 nl with a 40-200 max buy in, a 4-8 limit game some with 1/2 kill pots, and a 6/12 omaha hi/lo game. All in all the game is fairly soft there with a few solid nl players. I feel very comfortable in any of the games, though need to do a little bit more omaha research cause there are some regulars that are pretty solid. Oh in case someone does know what a prop is, they are a player paid to sit in any game that is usually short handed and in need of a player to fill a seat. They are often moved regularly and usually play in the worst games in the casino. That decreases bb/100 averages slightly. I know it will be a grind and will be tough, five days a week eight hour days. I want some people's advice and something I think will be VERY important is I want to take notes on each session i.e. hours played, win/loss on session, win(or loss) rate, mood and how I felt I played, any holes or missplayed hands, any well played hands, and player notes. I was wondering if someone had a good format for a journal for that. Thanks a bunch are sorry for the long post but I appreciate responses and have a great day guys.

The problem with playing as a prop is your game selection is non-existent. Also you are often forced to move out of good games if they happen to fill up.

I'm a bit tired to search now but search the archives on my name and the word +prop. I've used to be a prop, hire props, and sort of manage props.

If you have to explain to someone what a prop player is, why would you want their advice

Many places you prop for have a form that is like a journal. It has start times, buy-in, win/loss, table #'s/structure, etc.

Being a prop player really isn't all that profitable, in fact a casino sees a prop player as someone who recieves a nominal paycheck and is a break-even player to keep the game going. Some places even have a rule that a prop player cannot check-raise. Make sure you check all rules and everything before you make the decision to do this.
