floating...........
what are the main reasons that make u decide to float flop or turn instead of bluff raising? i know its kind of a dumb question but i just wanna know more about the play as i think i might not know/understand it well enough.

Re: floating...........
Scary cards come on the turn. Also, you might improve on the turn. Also, calling is often stronger than raising (in position) depending on board texture.

Re: floating...........
effectively price out draws.
I.E. Someone is more likely to call or 4bet with a flush draw on the flop then after a brick on the turn. |

Re: floating...........
If you think your opponent's range is monster/air, then you can see what he does on the turn before trying to take him off the hand. This is particularly relevant when you're pre-flop raiser and someone leads into you.

Re: floating...........
Floating should be part of your complete game. Like if you float, you should also play draws that way sometimes so that when you 'bluff' the scare card you can actually have the hand some of the time. Also, floating with good hands should be mixed in if you think the opponent will double barrel. Related to this, floating forces your opponent to fire a 2nd barrel, or in general risk his whole stack when you are only risking a portion of it.
