Default Reply through voicemail?

Ok, so there's a female friend of mine who I kissed a few weeks ago. Ever since, we've been bouncing emails/vm back and forth. I've been winning the game by a bit. Some of it is understandable since we travel and work random shifts. Well, I got frustrated when I didn't get replies in over a week. Yes, I'm a clueless guy and in denial here.

Then I get a VM from her. Seemed strange since my phone never rang, but it's a new phone and I was doing some track work using the stopwatch feature, so anything is possible (accidentally hit ignore/quiet right when the call came in). I leave her a VM, but no reply. Hmm, if someone leaves a voicemail, I'd think they'd respond in a timely manner to one left for them. So I investigate a bit. I see that she didn't appear to call me (no missed calls in my log) leaving the most likely option that she did a voicemail reply I suppose. I didn't know people actually did that.

Anyway this isn't the case? Really don't see a way I lost signal unless my phone was in a magical suburbia abyss.

Far enough Jzo. Maybe it happens to me alot. I normally am not this obsessive. OK, yes I am at the moment. I need to end my silly streak badly.

You can send voicemails. Google "sending a voicemail."

that's kind of the point. why would someone do this unless they specifically didn't want to talk to the person? I feel like she's being different since this kiss. However, at our age and the length of time that we've known each other this just seems childish. Right up there with me posting this on a message board.

if a random bar girl, I'd agree. However, that's not the case. I'll throw in that I was sent a 'friend zone' email at the beginning of the summer.

Unfortunately, I get the feeling she's trying to be polite without directly hurting my feelings, instead opting to hope that I'll eventually get the message. At least, that's what it feels like. I've asked her to do things, and there's a 'standing' dinner invitation which I doubt will be redeemed. (forgive any misspellings)
