If I was moving in for the third straight hand, I'd sure as hell have a tighter range than the previous two hands.

Just sayin'...

You're assuming he's thinking logically...

If you're going to make the assumption one way or the other this is the way to do it.

This is not a SNG. Its nice that we have some huge manly men who want to flip coins but the smart money is on fold.

[/ QUOTE ]

Calling here makes more sense than in an SNG, where doubling up while deep and facing multiple players doesn't double your ICM equity. You'd need a fairly large edge to cover the difference. Here, he's just open shoved 3 hands in a row. It's possible that the deck has run him over and he's exploiting this, but I think we're doing quite nicely against his range. I'm not sure off the top of my head what you need to make up for the rake but I'm pretty sure you have it. So, unless you're kind of underrolled, I think you might as well take this. It will probably do good things for your image too, if you hang around this table for a while.

EDIT: Do people not run into these guys from time to time and then see what they finally have when they get looked up? It's really not very good usually.

are you guys playing too high for your roll?

[/ QUOTE ]no kidding.

you have a 58% equity because this guy is obviously open pushing every hand. People at NL50 don't push two hands then kick in their metagame and make sure they have a good hand for the third open push in a row. They do it because they are retarded.

By folding you are leaving 16bbss of expected value on the table. Don't do that

As for the rake 52% equity is enough to overcome it assuming it's capped at $3.

Do you guys really think he's shoving any two here? 74o? 32o? Really?

I think my range is much more reasonable, and even that may be somewhat loose. But I do stand corrected, PokerStove still says its a call.
