$1400 to go.
Bet any river.

Are you calling here with a set?

dont like this, your draw is very concealed you wont have issues getting value if you get there. what exactly do you represent by checking behind flop and bet threebetting the turn anyway?

i don't like 3betting turn either, you are OOP and if he just calls and you blank out on river, it's a [censored] what do i do now. i would just call turn as well and prob shut down if we don't get there. i see us getting paid off a lot if we hit on river

I would repop him beacuse what do you put him on that he did a double check then raise with a drawing board on the turn. I think he would lead out with a set or two pair on the turn. This is an easy re raise IMO. At worst your a 70 30 to win. Counting the FE i think this play is without a doubt +EV.

The price on the turn is too good to raise the pot here and possibly get bet off of the draw. Also, since all of your draws are backdoor, they'll be harder to put you on when they hit. If he has a set and you make the straight, you're gonna get paid pretty well.

If we call here are we checking every river? I agree that our draw is very concealed, but I don't know if we get paid off on a spade river a lot here. We should obviously be c/ring river if we hit a straight but are we doing the same with a flush?

I think your turn and river actions are really read dependant here.

1. What do you think he has - weak or strong?
2. What does he think you have - weak or strong?

If you think he is weak or if he thinks you are weak then you raise on turn.

If you think he is strong or if he thinks you are strong then you smooth call hoping to hit your hand.

The tough part is the uncertainly if he calls your raise. Is he on a draw of some sort of his own? I make my river decision based on his reaction to the turn raise.

I'm sticking it in on river if I think he was drawing and the draws miss. Or, I going allin if I suspect he is floating thinking I am making a move of my own with a weak hand (missed AK, etc).

Otherwise, I'm checking unless I miss my hand.

Interesting hand.

From reading this, I think he is not that strong and trying
to define your (and his) hand with a raise on turn.

I think call is the right play almost every time, regardless of villain's tendencies
