Chances are good that the feelings of normalcy and functionality are inversely proportional to how often 'kid-tossing' played a role in the family dynamic. I would also imagine that throwing them at a very early age would have a far greater effect than if the parents start the throwing in the pre-teen or teenage years.

Act in tbe best interest of the kid. If you aren't up for marrying her and making a family, then give it up for adoption, it would be the noble choice to give the kid a fighting chance. However, with your mob situation, I'm sure that would be tricky, so gl.
