Royal flushes are overrated, give me a straight flush any day of the week! More likely to get paid off.

Yesterday in a AP MTT. Played it like crap...didn't think anybody had anything. Guy hits a nut flush against my straight flush with no full house on board, and didn't get paid off. He "thought I had a SF". wow. http://www.pokerhand.org/?1603351

No, the real problem is when you flop a royal flush and then someone hits a better one on the turn. This happens way more often that is statistically possible. I have proof.

Eight in 450k hands over 3 years. None in the last year. Two in one day.

He said he put me on a straigt flush 25 bb's deep, wtf.
That, and a PP I folded a bit later which made quads had me tilting pretty hard.
