Default Party Account Hacked

Deposited yesterday for a crappy reload bonus and my balance was fine. This morning I tried to log in to play and my account was blocked. I called Party and was told someone had accessed my account on the yesterday and today and played NLHE, reducing my balance to $0. They managed to lock my account before creditting the deposit (woo thanks for saving me $500 out of 4K party).

I live alone and no one has access to my account. Every one of my poker accounts has a different password that I addmitedly have not changed often enough, but if someone got access to my account it is very likely they've installed a keylogger on my computer.

Has anyone else had this happen to them? I have no idea if I have any chance of getting any of my money back.

can i ask what your screename is? i was playing NL most of last night, curious whether someone was donking around w/ your $ at high-stakes.

Request your acct's hand histories...what stakes was the guy playing?

I sent you my screenname as a PM since I mostly play PLO and many of the people in my games are 2+2.

My account is still blocked until they finish their investigation.

Download and run SnoopFree Privacy Shield to see if it finds a keylogger. This program is now free and it takes up very few system resources.

Update:

The fairly clueless guy in the investigative team has confirmed that they have recovered at least part of the money and my account will be reopened later today.

I ran every goddamn keylogger search known to man and came up with none on my PC, no one else had access to my computer during the timeframe my account was hacked and the money was dumped off, and they didn't access any of my other accounts on any other site.

This suggests that someone got into my account from party's side or used some sort of decryption algorithm to crack my password, which is fairly ridiculous because there are probably a few thousand people on party with more money than me.

They can brute force your pw just by guessing over and over again. Someone did it on Stars and hacked Raymer's account. Get your HH and you should be able to figure out who they dumped chips to.

Yeah I have the last few hundred hands. Most of the money seems to have been dumped to Flashing777.

Some stellar examples of chip dumping and retardedly collusive play:

Well my password was >10 characters and consisted of numbers, lowercase and uppercase letters. Using convential techniques I believe it would take a long time to break without access to a supercomputer.

Hey Rempel, I'm sure you realize that you have to accept that the odds firmly favour this being an intrusion on your system rather than Party's. If you're still using the machine you need to stop now and perhaps have somebody else take a look at it/just reformat it.

Those hands are pretty bad. If Party have any inclination towards giving you your money back then those hands seem like fairly solid proof. Particularly the 97/TJ combo.

Anyway, hope you have luck getting $$ out of Party.
