I think this is probably the only really good reason why you could possibly consider it. If losing 1/2 a buyin in EV makes sure the other players keep coming back and donating I guess it would be long term EV+. I'd still try to run it multiple times, or make a slightly less EV- deal.

The rule is.. and I am not sure which book it is... "Never sit down with more than 5% of your bankroll, and always get up and leave if your stack reaches over 10%."

I think this is good advice and you would have avoided your original scenario had you followed it.
