Default 200nl tp KJ in a reraised pot hits tp raising river all in

villian is 19/17/4 over about 1200 hands. He three bets me pretty often and vice versa.

When he checks the flop and bets the turn I was knda confused. JJ or QQ make sense. I would expect AJ and AQ to be cebet most of the time. On the river doesn't look like I beat much but jj turned into a bluff. Anybody call here. How is my flop check?

Yeah my standard has been to fold these types of hands. However against players that 3 bet all the time I've been experimenting with calling them and bluff pushing some flops.

Yeah, I don't like it with KJs though.. 98s or something smaller that won't put you in [censored] spots when you flop a pair.. I mean, is he really firing with AQ on the turn here? Quads or air IMO. I mean, maybe KK, but I don't know what hand he plays like this that's beating you.

If youre opponent really is 3betting too much calling with KJs is better than calling with 98s, because you will flop top pair and be able to felt it more often, when he has 67s, 10J, 109s, 89s, 44, 55, etc. IMO, 19/17 is NOT 3 betting too often, and KJs doesnt do so well because he is 3betting with 88+ and KQ+.

From my memory of the vilian he has a pretty wide range unless he has just been running really well against me.

I dont think calling 3-bets with a wider range is the correct answer towards an opponent which 3-bets too much. You either should be raising less, so you have an easier answer towards a 3-bet or you should be 4-betting more preflop.
4-betting preflop is better than calling and trying to bluffpush on the flop, because you give him the chance to improve his hand and you also need to hit certain flops to do it.

Postflop seems ok though.

pf, bad, ur hand is dominated by too wide of a range....id rather gamble in pos w/ the like of 89s
i dont mind the pot control on the flop...or the turn call
but river is std

very stand hand. Hes usually not bluffing the river.

I really don't understand why people dislike playing KJs to a lightish 3bet. It's a fine hand. You will often flop good and if you know you also have prof bluffs its a real easy call.

also some dude said 4bet pre > call 3bet to bluff. I like totally disagree. If you feel villain is 3betting light you should be much more willing to shove over a cbet than to make a 4bet. Why? b/c you make an additional c/bte in pofit and you decide after some cards have been dealt.
