It's like travesty said, it's about position: not just the position that you and he will be in for the rest of the hand, but the position that he's opening from. That's what indicates that his range is weaker than you otherwise might think...

I agree with curtains (about OP)--the best line is to reraise it. However, when you reraise it, the reason you are doing so is to end the hand early. JJ is not that strong of a hand that you want to build the pot and encourage action. You want to take it down NOW. That said, you then have to decide how much you can raise to take it down, and it is usually going to be a lot more than what you actually put in.

He had 72s and was a total donkey. I think the reraise is mandatory at any buyin just because people are so bad at all buyins.

I thought for about 10 seconds then said screw it and called out of spite. After calling in this spot multiple times, I've learned that people are just so horrible you really can't fold JJ in this situation, especially to a LP raise.
