Muckleshoot ups the rake
It's now a $2 JP drop.
Seems they're taking their cues from the smaller casinos around them now. b |

the seattle rooms seem intent on breaking themselves. when are they going to realize that the market is just not that big?

I was @ the Red Dragon in Lynnwood last night and it was insane. Lots of LAG action everywhere and the table were full. That's not to say that I haven't been other places where it is dead on a Fri & Sat night. I haven't played at Muckleshoot yet. Do they allow smoking there still? That's the primary reason I never went. |

Re: Muckleshoot ups the rake
So- they crank up the High Hand and Bad Beat Jackpots because they weren't giving enough of the rake back, and then they double the JP rake? WTF???? Who is making these decisions? Larry? Sean? Someone above them?

Anyone have any idea if Tulalip will be following suit?

Re: Muckleshoot ups the rake
I was there Saturday and another player asked the dealer what the rake and JP drop was. I was suprised to hear it was $2 and assumed it had been $2 for long time. I haven't played there in quite a while until I found out about their 3-5 SL game. Fortunately, that game is pretty good, despite the high rake.
FWIW, in those 4-8 limit games, those pots stay awfully small. I highly doubt it's beatable. what do you usually play there, Bernie? |

Re: Muckleshoot ups the rake
Places north of Seattle (eg, Shoreline, Everett, Tulalip) have not generally been taking the $2 JP drop, but I fear the phenomenon will spread.
ETA: I guess I was wrong about this. |

He's right, the market really isn't that big up here. b |

[ QUOTE ] I was suprised to hear it was $2 and assumed it had been $2 for long time. [/ QUOTE ] Just happened over that last week or so. [ QUOTE ] what do you usually play there, Bernie? [/ QUOTE ] 10-20, 20-40(though I've heard Lil's is running 20-40 more regularly). I play the 4-8 while waiting. But at least they are giving it back out in bigger increments than they were. Course that was bound to happen. The JP should raise again in awhile. We'll see. b |
