This hand was played by a friend of mine last night. Im mainly curious as to what river line is best here.

Villian is alexmartov... w/e i know i spelled it wrong. Effective stacks are $4300. game is 5 handed. (i dont have the hh)

Hero is deal 5c 6c
Raises to $150 in the CO
Villain calls on the button

FLOP: ($375) Jc 4c 4d
Hero bets $200
Villian calls

Turn: ($775) 8h
Hero checks
Villian checks

River: ($775) 7c
Hero ?

My friend argued that c/r or c/c was good on this river. I said i felt that villians range is mostly marginal hands on the river such as 99 or a weak top pair. I feel like betting the river gets more consistent value from these types of hands that he may check behind. Im not sure if its bet/fold or bet/call. What do you guys think?

this is like less than 40 hands into the session. ADZ was sitting and my friend 3b him a few times. He 3b the button once and folded to a cold 4b from the blinds.... nothing too out of line

He bought in for like 2K and doubled up when he flopped a set of 6's in a reraised pot. Thats his only showdown to this point
