I would be surprised if the typical poster on this board is concerned about Mike's (or any other famous pro) for the reason you suggest. If Mike is in the game that a player has selected, then they can take the money if they are good enough. I would suggest that the real reason is some type of voyuer/tabloid interest. It makes people feel better about themselves if others have failed.
