Default In the BB 3 way vs a 3b

A fishy, calldowny player opens on the button 3 handed, and a good player 3bets in the SB. You are in the BB.

What is the mininum pair you call or cap with here?

What is the min non-pair hand?

How does your answer if change if both players are good and tricky lags?

1) 77
2) JTs
3) It doesn't because 3 handed preflop play is all fuzzy anyway.

that seems plain wrong to me. in the first situation, you have a big overlay because of the fish, and the good players range is way wider because he wants to isolate the fish and knows that more hands are profitable to 3bet with the fish in. it seems lazy (and very unlike you) to write these things off by claiming the PF is just too fuzzy.

If you think its unlike me to be lazy your read is wrong

Anyway I should have said "my postflop play is more likely to change given the players involved but I feel the set of hands that can be played profitably 3 handed is fairly independent of the playing styles as all the players are playing a lot of their hands and I really don't feel a tough LAG is going to be playing such a drastic different range of hands from the showdown monkey fish."

This is I agree with. However, that certainly does not mean that *you* can play the same number of hands profitably against him.

Btw Rob said you were in Vegas... I'm gonna be there this weekend. Would be sweet to hang out a bit. I'm gonna PM you my number.
