Default NL25 - Double barrelling - In what situations? With what frequency?

Hi all.
It has come to my attention that I often get into trouble double barreling.
My raise gets called pre-flop, I make a c-bet, the c-bet gets called.
With what frequency am I firing a second barrel on the turn?
Do we ever second barrel light?

How strong a hand do we need to fire?

Should I use this move very rarely? Or?

I know this is very much in the abstract, but would like an indication about how often it is profitable to second barrel, and in what situations.

Example hands would be great.

The best thing would be for YOU to post hands where you got into trouble double barrelling. Ask for strat advice on those particular hands.

In general, I never double barrel unknowns, because most people at micro levels call too much. I double barrel only occassionally against players who i know like to float cbets, or tricky regs. But generally, when i 'double barrel', its for value because i hit something.

This is exactly what I was after.
Sorry I know such an abstract post is a bit noodly.
But I was really after a "how often, if at all" sort of answer.

I think double barreling with air [which I am prone to do], at these levels, without a solid read, is very -ev. Time to seal this leak!

In general, I think double barrelling unknowns at these limits is spew. If you really want to do it, do it when you have a strong draw that picks up outs, when an A/k/Q hits the turn on an uncoordinated board, or when a TAG reg calls you on a low board or a board with only one non-Ace overcard (hint: they're peeling with a small-mid pair and folding to a 2nd barrel like always).

As was already said, I don't like double barreling in micros-I think it just wasting $$.
Solid ABC poker works best, nothing fancy needed.

i will double barrel a big card like an ace or king on the turn and have had some success doing it at 25nl. i don't triple without a pretty strong read though.
it's good to have in your arsenal, but i still don't do it too much

Double barrel the occassional scare card against villains who have a high percentage of calling cbets. I will also double barrel rag boards against tag regs if I open utg since they will often call in position with a pocket knowing that if you have a big pair you will fire twice at which time they can fold. In general though, as others have already said, there really is no need to double barrel bluff too often. Just wait until you hit and you will get paid off. Solid poker is easy money at microstakes.
