Won my seat, now what?
Last night I won my main event seat through Stars. Today I receive an email from them stating that I have to essentially make all the accomodations myself. With the event less than 2 weeks away, and with the inconsistencies of paper checks, how should I go about getting this money as fast as possible? Does Stars do bankwires? Also, if you feel this question would be better answered in a different forum, please let me know.

What money? The $1000? I do Western Union. Takes 2 days.

Re: Won my seat, now what?
Unlike previous years, Stars is giving you everything in cash. They put $11k in my account this morning and it's my job to get it in my hands in time for the event.

Re: Won my seat, now what?
In all honesty, their checking takes far far less than 15 days. I get mine within the week of cashing out.

Re: Won my seat, now what?
If you think its too short to get everything set-up for the main event you can actually decide not to play it. They don't force you to play it at all.
