They discussed the possibility of the Jets cutting him due to cap issues. Even though he played with the first team, he did not get listed as a starter.

Preseason game #1...thoughts
Anyone care to share their thoughts on the game?
Excited to see Clemens open it up. The offensive line needs time to gel so Pennington handing off 11 times and not attemping a pass makes sense. Chansi Stuckey play impressed me.

whats all the fuss about this alvin banks anyway, the jets are pretty set with jones and washington, if anything id be annoyed for them to lose touches to a 3rd rb
