When it comes to talking about playing lag and having a green line higher than others, you'd be pretty surprised to hear that I think having a high green line is very important and I notice that mine often coresonds with whether I am playing well or poorly. I would like to say that sometimes I think people fall in love with and overvalue playing lag in certain situations when I think they are increasing variance with no great boost to winrate.

yeah when my green line is high it generally means i'm picking up like every pot that doesn't go to showdown. i've found a table i can run over. pretty important to the ol' lag winrate.

we have a read, this is how ur green line gets close to the red line :P . Basicly i thought i could fold out a TON here, and this 18/14 guy would 3bet AK and most of the times AQ for sure. Usually if they have a weak ace here they call down. And with a Q too. So i figured a very large part of his range was a bluff here. And i he would beat a bluff too if he called here. I dont think his read on me was that good and it was too dry too.

I agree w/ tannen on almost all points fwiw. It can teach you something about the style of game you play but different styles can win. I'm a nit and I win, terp plays on the LAG side of TAG and he wins.

My new theory, still fiddling with the percentages--

aj's recipe for poker success:

15% playing good
15% not spewing/tilting/FPS'ing
70% just being there

So, in other words:

Playing the cards OK, being in the right mind and just putting in enough hands to give players enough chances to keep putting in their money bad vs you.

Was about to type it. Seriously, you tilt for 100 hands and get back to where you were a week ago.

Thats so sick DE, did pat mention the cost of Bobbo's camp or how much he liked it?

[/ QUOTE ]

IIRC from Rob's thread in the stoxpoker forum here, it was going to run about 3k for basically 2 full days of live in coaching. Pat's review can be found here
