Default NL25 JJ in 3bet pot oop

I just sat down at the table, so I don't have any reads on villain. I don't really like the passive line I took, but in spots like these I tend to be scared and c/c all the way. Would you fold/bet/raise at any point in this hand ?

Poker Stars - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.10/$0.25 Blinds - 5 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter)

SB: $13.15

UTG: $24.60
Hero (CO): $25.35
BTN: $25.95

Preflop: Hero is dealt J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (5 Players)
UTG folds, <font color="red">Hero raises to $1.00</font>, <font color="red">BTN raises to $3.50</font>, 2 folds, Hero calls $2.50

Flop: ($7.35) 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players)

Turn: ($18.35) 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players)

I think u gotta make this decision on the flop. If youre prepared to stack off, push the flop. Here u go all in on the turn with absolutely no info on his hand. If u do the pushing u add folding equity to ur hand as well as pure value

I think you have to put it all in here on the flop. If you aren't doing this you are putting villian on QQ+ AKs and if you do that you should have folded PF

I FOLD to the flop bet...IMO we are SA/WB with little chance of improvement..Holding the J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] I may CRAI..

As played I let it go on the turn..Absent a read I doubt villain is double barrelling and playing for stacks with a hand we beat...

Without the Jd, I'd fold on the flop.

Why check the flop?...we are about as vulnerable as we can get.

I lead the flop. If he pushes I probably lay it down w/o the Jd.

You were three bet preflop so unless you got some stats on villain later on in the session that tell you he's a loose cannon, you're looking at big hand like QQ+,AK. You don't have a diamond in your hand either. I would check/fold the flop and save your money for a better spot. Villain doesn't appear to be worried about this flop, especially since you checked.

The turn is bad. It's pretty obvious to me that villain has you beat. He's playing it like he has QQ+. Don't feel bad, we've all been in this spot before and done the same thing. Think positive and review each session to see where you could have done better...Hell, just yesterday I learned a lesson on how a 6-max TAG should be playing (even though I thought I was a TAG). I took the advice and my game immediately improved.

On the flop, vs. a tight range:
Board: 8d 6d 2d

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 30.355% 28.84% 01.52% 11135 585.00 { JcJs }
Hand 1: 69.645% 68.13% 01.52% 26305 585.00 { TT+, AdKd, AdQd, AcKd, AdKc, AdKh, AdKs, AhKd, AsKd, AcQd, AdQc, AdQh, AdQs, AhQd, AsQd }

You are calling 5.5 to win 12.85, 2.33:1... 1/(2.336+1) ... needs 30% equity which is exactly what you have. Calling is fine.

On the turn, getting the rest of the money in your equity improves a little bit:

Board: 8d 6d 2d 4c

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 36.684% 35.66% 01.02% 612 17.50 { JcJs }
Hand 1: 63.316% 62.30% 01.02% 1069 17.50 { TT+, AdKd, AdQd, AcKd, AdKc, AdKh, AdKs, AhKd, AsKd, AcQd, AdQc, AdQh, AdQs, AhQd, AsQd }

Now you are getting better than 2:1 and have better than 33% equity so calling here is correct too.

Is raising more profitable than calling at any point? I don't see where, unless his cbet push-calling range includes AQ,AK with no diamonds.

nice hand sir.

Edit to lol at condescending nit.

I dunno if I like it, I dont see a lot of 3 betting with hands other than AA and KK at 25NL, unless it comes from a reasonable player.

No freaking way is the standard 3betting range of a readless 25NL player = KK+

I assume AQ+,TT+ and I suspect that is too tight.
