not anymore. I won't elaborate why, but this wont happen anymore like it used to. There are other factors outside of the police issues, the old days are gone.

Seems to me like the demand for rooms is still there. Is the major factor relating to the players or management?

TT, I would love to get your perspective on why things will be changing, which you can do on private message if you are inclined.

Much Thanks.

Nope, that can't happen. I discuss things in the B&M forum that I can, I wont go into further details via PM. The whole reason these rooms were shut down is because...

LOOSE LIPS SINK SHIPS.

There wont be any ships sinking because of me.

No. Something that has no victims to me is not a crime.

Ok, but when the govt. isn't getting their tax money, are they not being victimized by illegal gambling?

If you think that any portion of our income is "their money", you're part of the problem.

Very nice.

Discussion should end right here. If you want to discuss the law in New York and how it can (or can't) be changed, I would suggest raising the issue in the Poker Legislation forum. Plenty of legal wonks there.

If you know of a club -- good for you. Keep it off of 2+2 and other public forums.

Otherwise, consider poker in New York City dead. I do.

TT is absolutely right. I'm not in NY, but EVERY room that I know of that has been shut down or raided by police in the Houston/Clear Lake area were a direct result of some idiot getting mad at the club (no credit line, ect) and reporting the room to the police. In many cases, the police knew about the rooms well ahead of time but didn't mess with them until they recieved written complaints.

TT, most of the clubs have business cards, some have had websites. What then is the big deal about saying a club name or giving details about them in the forums? Not being a jerk, genuinely curious.

Just wondering, How come poker is legal in Atlantic City, but not other areas of New Jersey? It's not a state law?
