2/4 - Trying to Get Full Value w/o Spewing

I've been accused of being MUBSY at times, so in an effort to correct that, I've pushed the non-nuts a little further when I thought it was appropriate. Thoughts?

Villian is somewhat Laggy preflop and definitely has a slight case of FPS postflop. I've observed probably 30 hands on him so far. Sorry, no stats - my poker tracking software is not the quickest to pick up new site support.

Hero is SB w/ 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Preflop:
MP raises, 2 folds, Hero calls, BB folds.

Flop: 7 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
Hero checks, MP bets, Hero raises, MP calls.

Turn: J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
Hero bets, MP calls.

River: A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
Hero bets, MP raises, Hero 3-bets, MP caps, Hero calls.

Reraise preflop.

River looks good to me. There are only 10 combos of hands beating you and even though he has a case of FPS they should be discounted a bit. He has a flush or an ace most of the time I'd say.

I'd really like a preflop 3 bet to get this heads up. When we just peel and BB comes along, our equity struggles.

Postflop is fine.

3-bet preflop. You don't want BB calling with decent odds when you have a hand that prefers HU action.

The rest is fine. I think villian raises Ax and Jx enough on this river for the 3-bet to be +EV.

I'd 3bet that PF I think, especially if you say he's a touch on teh LAGGY side. I think everything else looks fine, he could easily have a flush (especially since the A on the board isn't a diamond) or maybe an overplayed J, like KJ. I think your read of slight FPS on his side makes something like waiting for the river with his flush more likely.

Almost everything you would call a raise with. Raise or fold most of the time.

Rest of the hand looks fine. I don't see any spew.

Although I agree you should 3-bet pf, post-flop you played it nicely. The three-bet on the river is definitely not a spew. I think he's FPS'ing a flush.
