Default Week 3 NFL SD vs GB

Doesn't SD look like it will crush GB here? Besides the fact that they've been traveling a lot (does this impact their performance severely?), it seems like GB is way more than a +4.5 dog, right?

its in Green Bay.
they are coming off two wins, with the last handily winning on the road.
their confidence is up and farve is looking good.
i think SD will win, but always be wary of the road favorite.

oops i worded it bad, i meant that SD has been traveling a lot. yeah, road fav is what i'm afraid of, seems to be a bad thing to bet on, from the tone i get from the experienced bettors. i'm just a newb.

I think GB is overrated. Their D is good, but Farve is still old. I still wouldn't bet against them as a home dog.

AFC > NFC

That said, I'm laying off this one without more movement for GB. SD went as far across the country as you can go without being in Hawaii, gets clobbered in a night game, then comes home, then goes half way across country again.

If the line moves enough I may put something on GB.

GB should have lost to PHI week 1, and is entirely overrated at this point (I think I heard various commentators say the words "vintage Brett Favre" at least 20 times last week). But SD's performance last week still has me scratching my head. I still like SD -4.5.

Meh -

1) Hard to see how PHI "should" have beat GB the first week. Time of posession slightly favored PHI, they outgained GB by 68 yards, but got penalized 8 times and McNabb looked lousy. Unless you are just assuming that PHI is a better team, which I think is questionable. The fact that PHI managed a total of NO touchdowns on Monday against a Redskin defense of uncertain quality doesn't say much for them - they're 0-2 and deserve it.

2) I agree that GB is overrated for now - but their defense is playing pretty well - you can argue that McNabb and Eli made them look better than they are, but who knows.

3) At the start of the season, I thought SD was one of the top three teams in the NFL, and they still may be. But neither one of their first two performances thrilled anyone. They outlasted an offensivly challanged Bears team, and got crushed by NE. No shame in that loss, but maybe they're not as good as I thought.

4 1/2 sounds about right.

Honestly I don't think it's questionable at all...
Phi is 0-2.
GB is 2-0.
GB beat Phi.
Anyone trying to argue Phi > GB should be branded "slightly nuts" IMO.

I think it depends on if LT decides to show up for a game this season.
