[ QUOTE ]
During my first 344 hours this year at Commerce 40/80, I was averaging $98/hr.

During the last 243 hours, I'm running at a loss of $9.50/hr.

The sick thing is that I really, truly, in my heart of hearts feel that I'm playing much better than I was a few months ago. I feel myself wanting to thoroughly financially destroy my opponents and eat their children, though I realize feeling that way puts me on the path to becoming a male version of Iris.

.67BB per hour isn't too bad a win rate. Hope it turns around for you.

Here's a little story about my first big night in a while. The location is Diamond Lil's in Seattle.

I join an 8/16 table with 1 rack, get lucky and win a rack. Sweet, now I have 2 racks for 12/24...
I move to 12/24 and win a hand. Sweet, now I have a rack for 20/40.

12/24 game is off-the-hook but destiny is calling so I join the 20.

Now, please tell me, how can an entire table be content to let me have the best seat in the game? (Seven seat, just to the left of the crazy gambler!)
Do people not understand where the money comes from in poker?

I gamble with the crazy gambler. Best hand: I limp UTG with Ad4d.
Flop: 2c 3s 5c - A bunch of bets go in.
Turn: 8c - 3 bets go in 3 ways.
river: club. F-ME. I check..... hidden text here ---> I win

About the time I'm up two racks the floor asks if I want the main game. Thumbs down. Guess who gives the thumbs up next?
hidden text here ---> Yes, the crazy gambler. After all these years of playing live in must move card rooms you'd think I'd learn to discreetly ask the Crazy Gambler if he is going to take the main game. F-ME.

Table is bad and I lose a rack cuz I'm not that great against decent players. After a while of hating myself I move to the main game.

Up and down for a while until something amazing happens:
1) The crazy gambler re-joins the game after an extended trip to the island of Pai-Gow
2) The two best players leave

Now seat nine (very addicted stuck gambler) and Seat 1 (the crazy gambler) start capping most hands with some additional action from seat 8. (pimp?)
I decided to limp re-raise every hand I play. Two select hands:
I limp Ad8d, many calls, addicted gambler raises, many calls, I just call this time. 7 ways x 2.
Flop: 9d Js Kd - I bet, capped 4 ways before it gets back to me.
Turn: blank - ok player bets, I call, addicted gambler raises, ok player 3-bets, I call knowing that addicted gambler will cap.
River: 4d

I limp 66, pimp raises, addicted gambler 3-bets, crazy gambler caps + a few other callers.
Flop: T63r - Capped 4 ways and I never had to raise.
Turn: 8 - I check & 3bet, and 2 people call.
River: Q - I bet and stack chips for a while.

I ended the night with 4k for my biggest night ever. (by far)
I hope everyone reading has a 100BB night soon.

What kind of roll do you think is required for the 40/80 at the commerce if your edge is huge and your only playing here for 1 1/2 weeks?

Anyone think I should take a shot with only a 20k roll to cover me?
20/40 is so ridonculusly easy here compared to 10/20 shorthanded on stars that it almost feels like im wasting time.
Wish they had a 30/60 game...

Also have seen like 10 2+2ers in the 20 and 40 since ive been here... I guess this is where you all live.. Kind of funny that like 3/4 of us are tall , skinny, white males under the age of 30.

that's very possible, although this was not a brag about how good I play, only about how good I run.

I didn't know this until tonight, but it turns out that I'm really really good at PLO. At least I think winning 1250 big blinds is good.

Well, I finally understand the bad streaks everyone is talking about. While mine was only for tonights session (hopefully), all 2 months of running good hit me smack in my face tonight.

TT < 42o after cold calling my raise and raising me on a 843 flop

AJ < A3 after calling my raise on a 776 flop

QQ < (J9=J4) on a T95 flop

AK = AQ on a 852 flop

AND!!!!!

Q9 < QT on a 99Q flop

And I cussed and yelled at someone for the first time in over 6 months tonight (might be a year +). I raise preflop with KQ, and call a donk on the flop, and 2 people call behind me. BB has forward motion again, as he is cutting out 8 chip, so I fold, and then see it somehow get checked around. Howard has posted about this sly move before.

And, I almost slip and fall when walking into my bathroom just now. There is water all over the floor, and I can't find a leak anywhere. Damn cheap apartment, less than 3 week and I am out of here.
