[ QUOTE ]
I don't want to stay in this life forever. I'm biomechanical and my body parts will wear out

[/ QUOTE ]

If we all pray our hardest, maybe God will hasten the process.

Are you sure it's God? Why not the devil? Why isn't it a manmade disaster?

[/ QUOTE ]

That's odd... it sounds like you have no idea what God does or what is done by the devil or what is manmade.

Almost as if there's no reason to give God credit for anything...

Are you sure it's God? Why not the devil? Why isn't it a manmade disaster? Who decides to build in an area where there's an insignificant water supply?

[/ QUOTE ]

So when your grandmother gets miraculously cured of her cancer, are you sure its God? Why not Satan?

When its your time its your time.

[/ QUOTE ]

The driver had no free will? The elevator repairman had no free will? Our actions must deliver the body on some predetermined time schedule?
So there would be no reward or punishment for our choices because we may be the only girl nearby with an ax when the neighbors time comes?

curiouser and curiouser this religion stuff, luckyme

Well I've read the whole thread and I think I've sorted it out now:

Tsunami/Starvation/other horrific ways to die/etc.: God's plan
Cancer patients who die: God's plan
Cancer patients who live: God's miracle
Someone willing to give his life in service to God, asking only for a direct command to get the ball rolling?: Clearly not part of God's plan.

Still nothing back by the way. It seems odd that all those gods are too busy to get in touch when they've got the chance of a 100% devoted believer for just 5 minutes of effort.

[/ QUOTE ]
I think the path you take to believing in god is important to god. If he just wanted lots of believers, he'd have them. He wants you to get there on your own or not at all imo.

Sounds a little petty if you ask me.

How will you know it's god and not an impostor or your own schizophrenia?? (I'm assuming that if you knew it was him, you would commit rape and murder without a second thought... right?)

Of course I would. You don't say no to god. He'll obviously have to prove it to my satisfaction. A few quick physics defying miracles should do the trick.

This should be no obstacle for God.
