I predict the average stack at the FT of the $10 tourney will be less than 7 bets.

[/ QUOTE ]

I predict 10K will expand to field of 16 very quickly.

Way to go out on a limb guys.

They should lock up one or two seats and have a heads up satellite tourney on saturday... Unless they don't want us donks to play...

I just heard about this today and all the seats were full before I had a change to dig through couch to come up with enough change for the buyin... Clearly, this elistist tourney is communist at it's finest...

Oh well, at leat they have $11 donkfest gazillion seat gurantee to heal my wounds!!!!

they also added a $10, 100k guarateed 10min levels. so 10k entrants crapshoot?

[/ QUOTE ]

Yeah, seriously... this will pay $12,600 to first, which is about what the winner of the 55k guaranteed gets. Talk about a flat payout.

[/ QUOTE ]

It's not as flat as you think it is. This kind of thing always happens with extremely large fields.

I don't mind, the sats to it are 2.20, which means 2 in 11 get by; it's going to be incredibly incredibly soft, and pays out huge; this means both that I can sat in cheaply and the field will be filled with those who have satted in cheaply, meaning soft soft field.

[/ QUOTE ]

Still, the 1st sats took almost 2 hours to run (with 10 min blinds). That's a long time for a chance at a $9 prize.

Still, this is going to be a super-soft tourney.

I am quite surprised that the regular highstakes headsup cash players aren't take part. It's not that different is it? It's a slow structure, and you'd figure that the cash players would be better at headsup than the tournament guys...

Also, the Daily Fifteen Grand is very similiar to this new $100k tournament - 10 minute levels, small buyin. The idea behind that was to have a tournament aimed at casual players that won't take too long to finish.

Uh, most of those guys listed are high stakes cash players.

I don't know if I'd say that most of the guys listed are high stakes cash players. As they aren't:

ActionJeff: MTT
AK87: HU SNG
Empire2000: Cash
EmpireMaker2: Cash
lftarii: HU SNG
MrSmokey1: HU SNG & Cash
THAY3R: MTT
westmenloAA: MTT & HU SNG

Certainly a few of them play mostly cash, and obviously most of them will have played cash at some point, but there're a lot of headsup cash specialists that aren't here. There're also a lot of the regular $5k SNG players who aren't here. I wonder if it could reach 16?
