Question about PokerStars FPP Equity

I have 47,768 FPP at PokerStars. I should break the 50,000 barrier within the next month. So now I am approaching a dilemma. PokerStars offers a cash bonus of $650 for Platinum Stars at a cost of 50,000 FPPs. I think that I can reach Platinum Star status one of these months (I have before, and I've come close since.) The problem though is that I feel that I would be losing too much equity. Since PokerStars values a ticket into the $215 Sunday Million as well as some satellites at 13500 FPP, I figure the equities to be something like this:

$650 VIP bonus: $0.013 per FPP
$215 Sunday ticket: $0.016 per FPP

($215/13500 FPP) - ($650/50000 FPP) x 50000 FPP = $146.30 total equity lost

So to take the cash bonus, I would essentially be losing $150 out of $800, or 18.75%, which seems like a rather large loss.

The other option I have considered is to wait until I get to 100,000 FPPs (probably sometime in 2008), and take the $1500 cash bonus. Then I would lose much less equity:

$1500 VIP bonus: $0.015 per FPP
$215 Sunday ticket: $0.016 per FPP

($215/13500 FPP) - ($1500/100000 FPP) x 100000 FPP = $92.60 total equity lost = $46.30 equity lost per 50,000 FPP

With this deal, I am only losing $92.60 out of $1600, or about 5.8%, which I am willing to do at $1500. However, two problems arise with this idea:

1) PokerStars may not still offer the bonus after June.
2) I'll probably never hit Supernova status.

The first problem isn't too bad as the FPP satellites will still be offered. The second problem could be a much larger problem, but if I email support, they may let me buy the bonus anyway since it is obvious that I play on the site a lot.

So anyway, there is my situation that I am sure many of you have also found yourselves in. What are some suggestions for what I should do?

Why not just buy as many sunday million tickets as you can and unregister and take cash? Or can you not do that?

To prevent the thread from being locked due to it becoming off topic, I'll make the following other points.

1) I bought a ticket to the Sunday Million with 13500 FPPs on January 14, 2006, and have still not cashed it in. I am waiting until I feel that I can play well in the tournament (and when it is not such a large part of my bankroll) before I cash it in. Right now $215 would be 10% of my roll. Last week it would have been 18% (I have been killing the cash games lately after a long dry spell.)

2) I do reasonably well in the one-table sit and go satellites for 1500 FPP and an entry into the Sunday Million, so one option is to play 30 of those and try to win at least 4 of them ($860).

Since a lot of people don't seem to know, I'll just say that if you buy a ticket into the Sunday Million from the FPP store, you can not transfer/sell tickets to other people. You also cannot redeem them for $T.
