river is a call i think too: villain views the Ace of spades as a good pressure card to get you off whatever you had on the flop, and is keeping on going until you fold.

i am not sure what to think about raising turn. the ace is an awesome pressure card, but if he was ahead of you on the flop he is probably not folding turn, which commits you to firing river in an attempt to get someone to fold 2 pair (yeah you are repping top 2 awesomely, and obviously flush is a bit scarey, but no one likes folding 2 pair, let alone sets). if he was behind he is either still behind or now ahead and prob not folding.

hmm conclusion: why raise turn?

actually calling river is quite tough, i didnt really consider the flush at first, though river bet is probably a bit small, but could just being looking for a call.

hell i call because the first hand is always a little crazy.

I feel like draws and lesser hands are such a big part of his range here that we need to raise the flop. Check raising a draw here is automatic for a lot of players. Raise flop to $65 or so I think, I think I am folding to a shove over top of my range. Dont like it much, just so many scare cards on the turn for you.

What hands do I beat on the river?

If the river is a K or a J am I calling then? Against a flush ,straight or set my hand now is the same as it would be if I hit a K or J on the river so I should only be calling river if I thought he had 78 or was bluffing right?

I call river because I am getting 3 to 1. This is the only reason. I think you should get it in on the flop. Why did you just call the flop?
