Default Are Online Short Sessions Rude?

So according to some Site regulars, short sessions are rude. Do you agree and if so please let me know why I should care.

I often play short sessions due to various reasons:
1) I have a short attention span.
2) I dont like my position.
3) I dont like my table image.
4) I dont like a player at the table.
5) I have won alot of money and feel it will not continue due to various reasons, and decide to leave.

I would argue that I should not care, since poker is not about making friends or proper etiquette, it is about making money. The arguement that no one will play with you or you risk unpleasant interactions, dont hold up online.

What do you think?

There's no problem with short sessions online.

There's no problem with short sessions anywhere. It's your own money, whether or not it formerly belonged to someone else. If you feel like leaving then do so, you don't owe anything to anyone.

Anything that you do, which is not cheating (and not cheating means: you don't try to get unfair advantage from game theory standpoint) is OK (and hence not rude). Some of these things might be against site TOC (e.g. abusing players in chat - so you might get some warnign or so, but until then -> don't bother).

Short session is neither cheating, nor against EULA of the casino, nor prevented by the site, nothing.

Bottom-line: You are asking if something like e.g. all-in bluff is rude. Who cares if it's rude?

This is not a good reason for leaving a table. If you are winning, it may likely be due to the fact that you are at a table you can easily beat. If you are playing well at a particular table, aren't you more likely to keep winning by staying there?

The above may be true, but sometimes the table goes south after you have taken out the donators and/or you might have been mid-stacking it and after doubling up you are in a situation where you are now sitting deep and don't play well particularly deep. Et cetera ad nausium...

That's not always the case. Sometimes you are lucky, and sometimes you stacked the donator.

I leave a table as soon as I think its not worth my time. Sometimes its one orbit.

I don't see a problem with it, although if I'm playing someone HU I'll let them know when I'm planning to quit in a few. It's polite, esp if the other guy's stuck.
