Default Early Step 5 - do you call this

so heres the deal

early in a pca step 5 - table had been very tight and i opened up to attempt to get some easy chips. villain in this hand is the only other winning table (in truth didnt scope xsteinx) and he has a 24% roi at the 55 levels looked like it was in the 45 man games

do you call this overbet?

what can he have ?

would he play a set or two pair like this on this draw heavy board?

the most logical holdings for him are a missed draw/str8 or both.

the only hand i could put him on that really beat me is 44

pls advise other hands he plays like he did?

You're saying he bets 1.5 times pot with air or a missed draw?

sorry

but this guys a winning player - theres no way he's checking two streets with aa, qq, jj, or any other hand that gives him 2 pair on the turn - way too many draws out there. i'll certainly give you 44 or a two pair diamond draw, but i think the missed draw is a big part of the range and folks bet them on the river very very often

This is a fold.

If you made a bad call and won, congrats.

i didnt but was really more interested in what hands youd put this guy on when youve been active. i really think a missed flush/str8 is a large part of his range

almost always, an overbet of on the river is mad strength.

i never call here.

haven't you ever bet a lot/been tempted to, when you turned or rivered trips or somethign better, hoping that a first or second level thinker would put you on air 'why would he bet so much with a made hand?" - and call with something weak.

it works sometimes, that's why you see it at the table sometimes - i really don't think this is a bluff.
