I do the same. It might seem like a pure steal that doesen't want action thus inducing weaker hands to call (lower pps, crappy aces).

I think if you have a read that MP2 has been open limping frequently, this is a good move.

Otherwise, I'd raise it to t1400 and push the flop if checked.
