Re: Kindle: Amazon\'s new wireless reading device
It seems like they could have made it a little more aesthetically pleasing. The design looks boxy and clunky. I know functionality should be king with this type of device, but I can't help feeling like I'm seeing one of those pictures of the first generation of cell-phones, or a big clunky 80's PC or something.

Re: Kindle: Amazon\'s new wireless reading device
george,
you can buy a book and then resell it on amazon and it only costs you shipping and a selling fee. that is a good way to 'rent' books. |

Re: Kindle: Amazon\'s new wireless reading device
Would be great if somebody who has actually bought one of these posted here and gave their opinion.
I'd probably be more interested in it if they would include free or hugely discounted Kindle copies of books that you have already purchased from Amazon. I've probably bought 150 or so books from them over the past decade, and it would be pretty cool to have an electronic backup of my library. I really prefer reading from real books rather than electronic screens, but it'd be nice for traveling; books can get pretty heavy and take up quite a bit of space. I'm hopeful that this will lead to some even better products from competitors and that within a couple years we'll have a better, more affordable choice. |
