8 mil sounds right if there are 6000 if you figure 68% of last year.

Payouts are flatter this year. If this structure was last year then Gold would have won around $10m and not $12m. That's where I got my $7m but I could be off.

I can't remember the source, but I swear I remember hearing that 1st place was going to get $10 Million this year no matter what.

Justin Bonomo Wins A Big Pot

And it might've been even bigger. After a {10-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} flop Bonomo bet 1,500 from the small blind and the UTG player called. The player on the button then raised to 4,500 and Bonomo re-raised to 10,000 straight. The UTG folded and after thinking it over the player on the button also chose to surrender. After he flipped over his cards and showed Bonomo he was folding A-K he turned over his cards and showed A-J for the flopped straight.

David Bach Eliminated

David Bach raises preflop, Michael Keiner moves all in, and Bach calls with {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}. But before the flop ever comes out, there is a controversy over whether or not Bach's raise was pulled into the pot, and how much he owes to cover Keiner's bet. It takes a while, but things are eventually worked out, and the hand plays out.

The flop comes {Q-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}, and Keiner flops a set while Bach has a gutshot straight draw. The turn card is the {2-Clubs}, giving Bach additional outs to a club flush. But the river card pairs the board with the {2-Spades}, giving Keiner a full house to win the pot, and David Bach is eliminated.

Michael Keiner increases his stack to 35,000.

Justin Bonomo Has Been Eliminated

Bonomo was unfortunate to push in the last of his chips after his opponent flopped a set. He's been eliminated.

Thanks for the heads-up on the mistake in the David Bach post. I've added Keiner's cards (he had pocket jacks), and fixed the fact that it was Keiner who had Bach covered, not the other way around. (Which is why Bach was eliminated when he lost the hand.)
