25NL -- did I play TPTK on turn wrong?
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (8 handed) internettexasholdem.com
SB ($15) BB ($20.95) Hero ($15.50) UTG+1 ($8.70) MP1 ($40.65) MP2 ($24.80) CO ($25.15) Button ($53.05) Preflop: Hero is UTG with Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $0.8</font>, UTG+1 calls $0.80, MP1 calls $0.80, <font color="#666666">5 folds</font>. Flop: ($2.75) T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font> <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $2.25</font>, UTG+1 calls $2.25, MP1 folds. Turn: ($7.25) Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font> <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $7.25</font>, UTG+1 calls $5.65 (All-In). No reads on either villain. I thought I had a reasonable shot at the pot with the continuation bet, and I just bet out again when I hit the queen on the turn. Was putting UTG+1 all in a reasonable move here? |

I would have checked the flop with this texture vs 2 people, as played turn is a no-brainer.

Re: 25NL -- did I play TPTK on turn wrong?
I'd check/fold the flop.
T9x 2 suited board connects with a lot of hands that cold call a raise and being OOP sucks, as does playing against 2 villains, one of which who is shorter than you. Also, reload. As played, turn shove is good. |

Re: 25NL -- did I play TPTK on turn wrong?
Hmm, some dispute about the flop, then.
My experience with NL25 is that people will call with just about anything on the flop, and the turn wasn't too scary--I thought that the villain would be more likely to call with two hearts than KJ. I do like the idea of raising more pre-flop though. |
