How do you handle these people?
I simply want to know how some of you handle hit and runners. I talked intensivly with some of you at the WSOP and I know the consensus is that if someone brings like 10BB buy in they are +EV to play over the long run. I believe that my tilt factor is so huge that after I get hit and run on lets say 12 times in a period of 2 hours I go mega tilty and then go off for lets say 10K. How do you guys handle hit and runners and there unethical behavior? Flame away. =)

Re: How do you handle these people?
How is hit and running more "unethical" than stalking players who don't want to play you? How is it more "unethical" than taking up every table at a limit?
A player can play as many hands or as few as they like. Simple solution...if they hit and run you once don't play them anymore. Otherwise, get over it. |

Re: How do you handle these people?
By not caring. Let them win 3 bets at a time from you when they get lucky and then win 50 bets from them when they don't start off winner and they stay.
You already knew that this was the answer, I'm honestly not sure what you want people to say. |

Re: How do you handle these people?
How do I handle it?
I don't let silly [censored] like being hit and ran bother me. If it's something that would bother me when it would happen, it's pretty easy to recognize that it's time to do other things because I'm on tilt. PLaying on tilt is dumb. It's a crappy scape goat if you ask me and comes with the heads up territory. The fact you think their behavior is unethical might quite possibly be the most ridiculous thing I've heard from you. Especially considering the stuff I've heard you've done to other players regarding sitting with them and not letting them not play you. That's [censored]. Playing somebody and then deciding not to is nothing. |

[/ QUOTE ] Also understand that not everyone sits around and plays all day....Sometimes people sit then get called away by a wife, screaming kid, or a buddy that wants to go have a beer....I dont hit and run but was accussed of it and then the guy refused to play me for weeks, little did he realize I had a 3 year old scared by the thunder and simply went to comfort her and it took a little while and he was gone and pissed when I returned..... Hit and runners lose a lot or win a little, how you can you get mad at that? |

Re: How do you handle these people?
Good post BK. At the higher stakes choosing when to play somebody is just as important as choosing who to play. People keep expanding the definition of "hit and run" to mean "anytime you leave not BUSTO" LOL

Re: How do you handle these people?
yeah that is spot on, i think a lot of the times where I got tilted by a hit n runner I was pretty much on tilt anyway and looking for an excuse to be on tilt.
