Standard AK, reraised pot play?

Effective stacks= $100

folds to me in the CO with AKo, I make it $4. an unknown makes it $12 on the button...I call.

Flop: Kh Jh 10c

I have the ace of hearts...I check/call $15..

turn: 8d

I check, he bets $28, I fold...

Thoughts?

co vs btn i 4-bet this pf all day. 37 to go. having just called pf i think u played this well post, though.

I would c/r AI. I would also 4-bet this PF. He can have a lot of pair + draw type hands to make this a fold.

if I make it $37 and the flop is Q high or even 8 high whats my play? i have practically half my cash out there...

Isura - really don't like a flop check-raise AI. Our hand really blows vs his calling range and our hand is already pretty meh vs. an unknown pf 3better.

Chewy - You make it 37 to go and he calls. What is your plan on say an 8 high board and a Q or J high board?

Check/fold. They have a monster when they call this 4-bet.

Still don't really see the value in the shove tbh. Why do you prefer this to just calling down?

Stack sizes are awkward to check/call IMO. There is less than 1/2 pot left on the river, which sets up an awkward situation. There are a lot of pair + draw hands that will call a shove but from which we can't get any more value unless they improve.

The only pair and draw hand that I can see an unknown repopping pf is QQ tbh. Do many unknowns really repop QJ?
