Default (NLTRN) 99 - folded preflop

Its the 4th hand and nothing unusual so far. Reasonable fold right?

I think it's a very reasonable fold given the blind level. Make it TT or JJ and it's a much more interesting question.

Looks good, I'd actually fold QQ, JJ, and TT if its 4th hand and opponent is reasonably predictable.

I happily shove QQ and JJ against an unknown... 99 and TT are closer... I think I would shove TT but fold 99 I dont know.

Not to mention thats a pretty huge 4-bet which makes me think you are even further ahead of his range (because its an overbet I expect to see AK/AQ more and AA/KK/QQ less and bluffs more often).

I don't think it's an overbet at all. What do you think a normal raise would be? That raise looks stronger than a push to me.

Anyway, I think it's an ok fold, but pretty close either way. I might push if opp won some of the previous 3 hands by raising preflop.

The buyin level and sharkscope of this guy probably has a lot to do with end of your shove/fold range here.

FWIW I played a guy today who raised 3x PF with about 1300 on the 5th hand, I raise to 200 with 88, he raised to 800, i shoved and he folded, leaving himself with 500 chips. He eventually chipped back and I got him in with QJs vs AQo (my hand) full stacked and won... it was a 55 and he was a slight loser, so make what you will of that, folding JJ and QQ is sick here.

it's a $50 reg and villain had been standard. 2nd hand he bet A high and I called with a draw which I missed, hence stack size.
cwar I don't think this is an overbet at all - it's not even pot size. Looks very value-ish to me. Could you be thinking it's a shove cos you play turbo's? Perhaps this is a hand that one should play differently depending on whether it's a reg or turbo.

I think my shoving range here is JJ+, AK
