Default Key Stroke Loggers, some insight.....

I just wanted to provide a little insight on key stroke loggers to all poker players on this forum so this doesn't happen to you, and also so we can learn from what happened to neverwin. I am currently a systems administrator for an accounting firm and have had training on this in order to make sure this doesnt happen to our employees to avoid identity theft, and now I am passing this information on to you!

I posted a blog on my web site.

neverwin had his online poker account hacked and was robbed of 27k. He believes this was done via a Keystroke Logger.

There are also physical key loggers that you can connect to the end of the keyboard plug. These blend in with the normal plug and act as a plug so they are hard to notice. They save onto the physical key logger and log the keys than send them to your computer as if the keyboard was working normaly. Since this is not a software program on your comp it isn't detected by a virus scanners. Obviously these have to be physicaly installed and removed but if you play on public computers you should look out for it.

I have a program called 'spyprotector'
supposedly it:

blocks keyboard monitoring
warns when registry is changed
prevents recording of user activities
blocks mouse monitering
blocks keyboard inputs (different than the above)
blocks recording of starting and closing programs

That and zone alarm pro i feel safe. Also a linksys router/firewall. Havnt been hacked yet.
