Re: IT SUCKS THAT A Bad Beat Jackpot is coming to Borgata Dec. 1st
Seems pretty straightforward.
The best hand that loses (that's higher than Aces full of eights - ha!). No "winner" share. No table share. Would nice to lose with a Q-high straight flush this weekend and lock in the top prize. I know there have been some suggested reasons, but I'm curious what the top reasons for the powers that be to put on this promotion. It used to be the giveaways each December. Is it just "Oh, it's time for our December promotion cause it's the low season"? Is December the low season for poker in AC? btw, "Cold Deck Jackpot" is cute, but an even worse name. That conjures up images of seeing 27o every hand for three orbits. |

Re: IT SUCKS THAT A Bad Beat Jackpot is coming to Borgata Dec. 1st
Yeah, my bad. I thought Borgata might want to skip keeping records/tracking down winners for the whole from from possibly ten players from every qualifying hand.
But I guess any BBJ keeps a record of all players anyway for eternity. I'd love to hear about the effect this promotion will have on the other raked-BBJ rooms. I'd imagine it COULD be significant - especially during daytime hours. |
