I turn into a call station w/ KK (fkn overpair!)
No reads, haven't been at the table for an orbit or so, and I've been drinkin so the concentration isn't all there n stuff. I usually play 3/6 so no clue on the 5/10 aggression. I think not raising an over at some point is usually blasphemy, but the only capping hand I can think of that I'm ahead of is AK, and no reason to chase that out, right? In position is easier out of position sucks balls.

Re: I turn into a call station w/ KK (fkn overpair!)
I probably would have led out at the flop, if he raised i would have 3 bet expecting to call if capped, led out at the turn and if he raised i would have called and check called the river. The most likely hand i can put this guy on would be AQ, if your up against one of the 3 pocket pairs that can beat you, then its just unlucky, but without any solid information on this player, im going to see the river.

AQ is not the most likely hand

with no ace on the flop, i think you need to show some aggression at least once before you go into call down mode

I'd raise on the flop
My guess would be that you were ahead on the flop (AQ or AK, say) but there are many who would cap QQ or JJ also. |

I didn't say it was the most likely hand, what i said was it was the mostly likely hand I would put him on.

One question: Why on earth would you check-call that flop? Bet the flop, three-bet - and THEN consider a call-down. I can't believe how weak-tight you played this hand.

its probably the 250BB downswing I'm in the midst of in 6max Has me seriously F'd up.

Re: I turn into a call station w/ KK (fkn overpair!)
The unfortunate part is that if he does have AK you're giving him cheap looks at 7 outs to beat you. I'd really love to be able to bet/fold the turn somehow but with KK that seems like it's playing with danger.
