Wynn Poker Classic structure
Opinions on this structure would be appreciated please. (I am playing a few 1K events and one 2K event.)

Re: Wynn Poker Classic structure
It would be nice if they tossed in an extra level somewhere in the early stages. Maybe a 75/150 or 150/300 or even a 500/1000 level would help a lot. As it stands, it seems pretty standard these days.
I will be there for a long weekend the first weekend in March. I hope there is a decent turnout. See you there. Temp |

Re: Wynn Poker Classic structure
Agreed... 75/150 would be just what the doctor ordered. I always hate that jump from 100/200 to 200/400. OUCH.
45 minutes isn't bad though, and one hour for the 2K event is great. As for the turnout, I'm hoping for somewhere between 200 and 300 players/tournament. That might be optimistic given that this is the Wynn's first real kick at the tournament can, but because there are no other major tournaments that conflict with it, I remain hopeful. Good luck! |

Re: Wynn Poker Classic structure
True enough... fortunately anyone who doesn't make it past day three of the final (Main) event at Commerce would be able to make it in time for the events I'm in. Of course, you have to consider that maybe people like me--who like to go places to play in mid-stakes tournament from time to time--might have just decided to make the Commerce their trip, and would thus be unable to make it to the Wynn series. But at the same time... Vegas baby... there ain't nothing like it.
If you're going to play at Commerce, good luck to you! |

I think I'm going to play a bunch of the wynn events also. I'm curious to hear other people's guesses on how many entries the events will get.

Re: Wynn Poker Classic structure
i can't believe people think this structure needs more levels early. with the chip stacks they give and the blind levels being as long as they are, that's a perfect structure.
even better than the LAPC. they have a nice structure but don't start you with as many chips. still plays nice with long blind levels (1k+ 60 min). |
