Re: 10NL: QQ sees JJ on board
Make a larger preflop raise and lead on both the flop and turn.

Re: 10NL: QQ sees JJ on board
This is 2NL, not 10NL.
I make it .12 preflop. Flop bet is fine, but bet the turn - you are missing a ton of value here. The pot will be big enough to just push the turn with your stack - so I would do that. |

As played, call because he has a hand worse than Jx here more than 20% of the time.

Re: 10NL: QQ sees JJ on board
I'd like to raise a little bigger PF, I think the standard forumula is 4bb + 1 per limper, although I tend to use 3 or 3.5 + 1bb per limper as I like to see a flop before I start making a big pot with all but the best hands.
I make a pot sized bet on the flop because of the two spades. At these stakes I think people love to draw, so you want them to pay as much as possible to do so. Also you'll probably get a call from a lone jack if you make a PSB. What i'm getting at is that you're losing value by not betting more. You should make another PSB on the turn, basically for the same value reasons as above. If you get raised/called I think then on the river you can play with a little more caution. On the river, as played. I think you should call, for the reasons illini said. You're ahead of 20% of his range so a call is good. I dont think a raise achieves anything as 2nd pair and busted flush draws wont call. |
